The bus was part of a four-bus caravan carrying Miley’s production crew.  In addition to the single fatality, there was one person injured. They were taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.  No reason has been cited for the accident, however TMZ reports that the road the bus was traveling on was extremely slick from rain but it is not the confirmed reason for the crash.

The bus was en route to play a show tonight in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Miley has announced that the show will not be canceled and will go on as planned.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the deceased and injured.

In an interview with EW.com Timbaland explained:

“Man, she’s gonna be like Justin,” he says. “She comes from that same musical background, where she’s just got it. Her voice is just there. The best way to put it is she’s special. When I worked with her, I was very impressed. I was like, ‘Whoa.’”

She beat out four older, established male country artists for the highest honor the CMAs offer – not bad for a teenage newcomer!  Not to mention at one point or another, she was the opening act for all four! I don’t really think of Taylor Swift as a country singer though, even though she is by in large considered a crossover success from the country music world into the pop world.  Either way, with sold out tours across the United States and a hugely successful album, she deserved the award for Entertainer of the Year, don’t you think?

So what did she do to celebrate?  “”Just wrapped up a cereal party with my mom and dad at the kitchen table,” she also Twittered. “What a night.”
