The bus was part of a four-bus caravan carrying Miley’s production crew.  In addition to the single fatality, there was one person injured. They were taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.  No reason has been cited for the accident, however TMZ reports that the road the bus was traveling on was extremely slick from rain but it is not the confirmed reason for the crash.

The bus was en route to play a show tonight in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Miley has announced that the show will not be canceled and will go on as planned.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the deceased and injured.

Gaga’s prime time debut was written into an episode of the show by explaining that Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) gets her step father to book the pop star and former NYU student as an act for Cabaret Night at the college.  During the short the pop powerhouse performed her new single “Bad Romance” with ladders.  Gaga spoke with MTV.com about the process explaining:

I really sat down with the writers.  I was, like, ‘Look, I want to do this, and the reason I want to do this is because I am trying to say something that is not mainstream in a mainstream capacity. So, if I can say it on your show, that would be a real coup d’état for me as a performance artist.’

The Black Eyed Peas were the musical guests on Saturday Night Live and they did not disappoint.  The foursome performed three of the biggest hits this year off their The E.N.D. album.  It’s customary for the SNL musical guest to perform only two songs, but these hit makers got the ok to perform their latest hit “Meet Me Halfway,” as well as “I Gotta Feeling” and “Boom Boom Pow.”

In an interview with EW.com Timbaland explained:

“Man, she’s gonna be like Justin,” he says. “She comes from that same musical background, where she’s just got it. Her voice is just there. The best way to put it is she’s special. When I worked with her, I was very impressed. I was like, ‘Whoa.’”

Wow, that’s an incredible compliment.  After listening to the song she worked on with Timbaland do you think that he’s right?  Will Miley be the next big thing in pop music or is he blowing his experience out of the water.  Let us know in the comments.

The video is racy and edgy, but most of all it really personifies the message behind the song.  Check out the next couple of screen shots to get a feel for Rihanna’s vision and let us know what you think.

They take the message of “Russian Roulette” very literally at first, having Rihanna held by what appears to be Russian officers.  The beginning of the video IS mostly shots of her in this holding cell.

But the story is fused with Rihanna and a mysterious and devilishly good looking man passing a gun back and forth, symbolically showing us the game of Russian roulette without being explicit.  It was a nice touch.

The looming theme appears to be the unwavering danger that Rihanna is faced with and stands up against.  It’s as though she is speaking to us about her experience with Chris Brown and comparing the threats she felt that night to being shot or hit by a car.

Next, we’re transported under the sea while Rihanna floats around in a flowy dress and dodges bullets being shot at her from the above the surface of the water.   If she wasn’t being shot at, this entire scene would be an amazingly romantic, almost like a perfume ad.

Right before the end of the music video there is a kaleidoscope shot of Rihanna, which might be the most interesting shot of the entire video.  I’ll save the ending for the video premiere, which you can catch on 20/20 Friday night on ABC or you can just watch it below if you missed the premiere.  What do you think?  Did Rihanna knock it out of the park or did she fall short of what you were expecting?  Let us know in the comments.

Lady Gaga herself comments that the video personifies the natures of tough chicks, commenting that the use of razor blade sunglasses personifies this saying:

I wanted to design a pair for some of the toughest chicks and some of my girlfriends — don’t do this at home! — they used to keep razor blades in the side of their mouths. That tough female spirit is something that I want to project. It’s meant to be, ‘This is my shield, this is my weapon, this is my inner sense of fame, this is my monster.’

Lady Gaga certainly is making a name for herself with her edgy outfits and great dance music, and she’s able to pull together a fierce artistic interpretation without sacrificing the message she wants to send.  Check out the video below and see if you think Gaga successfully made her point. For $119 they better make “Bad Romance” sound like she’s performing live.  With the current shape of the economy, you’d think they’d offer something a little more affordable, but I get the feeling Gaga refuses to skimp when it comes to the perfect sound.

In her own unique way, Lady Gaga is making some interesting decisions regarding her up & coming “Monster Ball” world tour.  In a unique collaboration with pioneering image-maker Nick Knight and fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben, Lady Gaga has invited her fans to design and submit their own distinct video image to be included on her tour, which has been posted on Lady Gaga: Submit:

The inspiration is sharp, simple and brutal: the Apocalypse, symbolic of both destruction and rebirth. Lady Gaga, Nick Knight and Ruth Hobgen will select video imagery from the submissions, and the videos will then be spliced together and reinvented as exclusive imagery, played alongside Lady Gaga’s spectacular live performances across the globe.

In line with new contributions, video pieces will be constantly re-edited and engineered as new submissions are received throughout the tour’s 44-date marathon run, in a constant creative renewal.

Gaga’s got a lot of things on her plate right now, but she appears to be balancing it all very nicely.  Her life’s work seems to be shaping up exactly how she planned, but I bet hat’s exactly what she wants us to think.

Taylor had a barrage of hilarious skits that she starred in, but it was her opening montage where she did an original song medley that she really sparkled.  Singing and song writing is what she does best and she totally proves it, not that we ever questioned her talents in the first place!

However, she was also completely hilarious and believable in a spoof on Twilight called Firelight.  Here she really showed her comedic range as she played a take on the Bella Swan character from the film with SNL cast member Bill Header playing the role of a teenage Frankenstein.

In addition to her appearance on SNL, Taylor’s collaboration with singer John Mayer also hit the net this weekend and we have to say, it’s the perfect duet!  The two work together so well we’d love to see them do an album together in the future.  Check out the SNL clips and Taylors John Mayer collaboration  and let us know what you think about Taylor’s big week in the comments!
