MJ’s Final Viewing Will Not Be At Neverland Ranch

Posted by Sabrina C on Jul. 1, 2009 Posted under: Michael Jackson, News & Gossip

As recently as this morning, the public was under the impression that Michael Jackson would have a public showing at his famous former home, Neverland Ranch.  However, these plans are no longer in effect.

TMZ reported the statement released by the Jackson Family regarding the changes:

“Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland.

Plans are underway regarding a public memorial for Michael Jackson, and we will announce those plans shortly.”

This was released after it was announced that all the hotels in the Santa Barbara area surrounding Jackson’s former residence had sold out within minutes of the press stating that Jackson’s body would be shown there this weekend. This snaffu probably cost many people a lot of money. Do you think that the Jackson Family changed their mind after they realized the sort of chaos a public showing would cause or did they never plan it in the first place? Let us know what you think in the comments.
